Andras Pellionisz Dr. Andras Pellionisz is a pioneer over several decades in computers and Nature's mathematical algorithms in neural and business intelligence. His internationally recognized accomplishments include Academia, Government and Private Industry in the United States.

As professor of New York University, he discovered a neural net algorithm and developed technology learned from Nature, published in over a hundred technical papers. Once his book on Neurocomputing was published (with J. Anderson and E. Rosenfeld, MIT Press1990, now in paperback), his neural net algorithm earned him the Alexander von Humboldt Prize from Germany "for Senior Distinguished American Scientists" (1990) and Honorary Doctor of the Hungarian National Academy (1990).

In Government R&D, Pellionisz, as a Senior Research Associate of the USA National Academy of Science to NASA, started the NASA's "Flight Control by Neural Nets" initiative. The program materialized in 1999 by NASA flying an F15 fighter plane with neural nets. To bridge Academia, Government and Industry, Pellionisz established Silicon Valley Net Institute, which forged academic Information Geometry achievements into applications in innovative business models for the use of Internet by Private Industry and Government Projects.

For Applications in Private Business, Pellionisz put his academic foundation of Information Geometry and his 4-layer Neural Net architecture (RB, XML, NLP, NN) into use in Internet Personalization by Categorization/Profiling/Recommendation. As an Executive of a series of Silicon Valley Internet companies, he helped validate Mr. Turing's vision (half a century ago) of a highly personalized information system for everyone. Pellionisz served as Principal Knowledge Engineer of Ernst & Young affiliate Kanisa in Cupertino, helping a classic "big six" establishment turn into a 21st Century Internet heavyweight, then as Principal E-Commerce Engineer at Fabrik, and ROIDirect of San Francisco, then as Chief Intelligence Officer and Sr. Architect at Verge Software and Xmarksthespot of San Francisco Pellionisz serves now as Chief Intelligence Officer of Mindmaker and Heads its PureMatch Division.
