Verge Software Corp., a San Francisco provider of software and services, said Andras Pellionisz joined as chief intelligence officer and senior architect. He was principal knowledge engineer at Kanisa.

InterWave Communications International, a provider of digital microcellular systems in Redwood City, appointed Ian Sugarbroad president and COO. He was VP of business development at Nortel Networks. Thomas Hubbs joined as CFO and EVP. He was with Walker Interactive Systems Inc. as CFO and SVP. H. David Jones was named VP of product marketing. He was VP of sales and marketing at Symmetry Communications Systems Inc.

Securant Technologies, a San Francisco provider of access-management products for e-business, appointed Richard Leichus COO. He was CFO at Saratoga Systems.

ComVentures, a Palo Alto venture capital firm, said Michael Rolnick joined as a general partner. He was VP for new ventures at E- Trade Group Inc.

Dave Reeves was promoted to VP of marketing at Chevron Products Co. of San Francisco. He succeeds Dave Smith, who retired. Reeves was general manager of retail marketing.

AM/FM Inc., a San Francisco radio broadcasting company, promoted Douglas Sterne to cluster VP for its San Francisco stations. He was VP and general manager at KKSF-FM in San Francisco.

OffRoad Capital, a San Francisco online private equity marketplace, said Joan Schriger joined as VP of institutional sales. She was a regional director with Barr Rosenberg Mutual Funds.

OnLink Technologies Inc., a Redwood City provider of Web sales and marketing applications, named Larry Warnock VP of marketing. He was VP of corporate marketing at Documentum Inc. (COL. 1 of PIB30 9412 )

FastParts.com, a San Jose Internet trading exchange for the electronics parts industry, said Jim Garcia joined as VP of technology and operations. He was director of hotel network operations at On Command Corp.
